As The Church Goes, So Will Our Nation

More and more we are seeing our leaders slammed for doing the right thing. When people start complaining because an officer of the law upholds the law, we know we are in trouble as a nation. When wrong looks right, watch out! Nothing good will follow.

And like it or not, as the church goes, our nation will follow.

We’ve taken God out of our schools, and we’ve turned in Satan in the name of education. If you don’t believe we’ve let Satan infiltrate our schools, then tell me what exists in the absence of God? As in the absence of light, there is only darkness. Without God, evil creeps in.

In some cases, our children are being indoctrinated to believe things that we as Christians would never have them believe. They are being introduced to things that God says are wrong.

We read in scripture about a time coming when people will not endure sound doctrine.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Timothy 4:2-4

When right no longer matters inside of God’s house, what will it be like outside of God’s house? When God becomes irrelevant on Sunday morning, what will the rest of the week be like?

What do itching ears want to be permissible? You tell me. Where does it start? Where does it stop? As our children grow up, they will be the leaders in our church. What they believe about God depends on what we teach them. We need to share what God has done for us. We need to share scripture. Quite honestly, we need to put God back in our schools.

If what we are seeing now in our nation is a preview of things to come, we need to be on our knees. I am all for loving the sinner and hating the sin, but tolerance is hurting us.

When we have come to a place of tolerating everything, we’ll stand for nothing.

Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. It is those Judeo-Christian beliefs that have made us great as a nation. If we lose those, we will have lost sight of who we are. I believe if that time ever comes, our nation will fall.

As we focus our attention toward our leaders and the upcoming election, let us pray for Christian God fearing leaders. Let us pray for our nation as a whole.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

LIFE APPLICATION

Key Focal Verse:

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Psalms 34:1-3

Today’s challenge is to pray for God to show you how to make a difference for Him today. Pray for our nation. Pray for God to remove the hold that Satan has in our schools. Pray for God to open doors and hearts.
