If You Knew That Jesus Were Coming Back In an Hour…

Are all your friends and relatives saved? Are you saved? Are you sure? Perhaps a name came to your mind. Have you talked with them about Jesus? Are you going to talk with them about Jesus? If you cannot answer their questions, you could always get them to talk to a Pastor about Jesus.

Have you given this any thought?

Are you waiting until right before you die to confess all your sins and ask Jesus into your heart? Do you realize how many folks die suddenly and without warning? If you knew when Jesus would return, would you party up to about the last few minutes and then make a commitment?

What about your friends, relatives, and acquaintances? Are you putting off talking to them just because you think there will be a tomorrow? I’ve heard stories of the Holy Spirit prompting someone to witness. They put it off only to find that the person died or was killed in an accident. That is really hard.

Maybe you don’t really believe there is a hell? Jesus said there is. He talked about it.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Luke 16:19-26

Every day while you sit in the comfort of your home watching your television and chilling on the sofa with the remote in one hand and your favorite beverage in another, there are folks suffering in hell. How many folks do you know that died lost? How many more will you see die lost? Share Jesus and make a difference.

LIFE APPLICATION

Today’s challenge is to ask yourself three questions. Who do you know who is lost? What are you going to do about it? And, how will you feel if you wait and something happens to them?

It’s true that not everyone who is told about Jesus will accept Him as Savior and Lord, but there will be some. Pray and ask God to show you who you need to talk to about Jesus. Ask God to give you the words you need. May God work through you today if only to plant a seed.
